ORGANIZATION AND THE GENERAL SCOPE OF THE

EUROCON 2005

The re-establishment of the IEEE Region 8 conference started in Bratislava, Slovakia, with EUROCON 2001 in July 2001. The next conference was organized in Ljubljana, Slovenia, EUROCON 2003 at the end of September 2003.

In continuing this successful process, the IEEE Serbia and Montenegro Section, together with local business partners and sponsors, is organizing EUROCON 2005, which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia & Montenegro, at the end of November 2005.

In addition to a rich technical program, this conference will include a great variety of educational, professional and social activities, overview of IEEE activities and services, as well as opportunities for establishing new and maintaining old contacts among professionals.

Serbia & Montenegro is a part of the Central and Eastern European region, and it has good air and land connections with all the European and Mediterranean countries. Apart from domestic institutions and universities, it is expected that a number of other neighboring and distant partner universities will support the organization of EUROCON 2005, thereby promising large participation.
